About the Site Safe Foundation Passport

The Site Safe Foundation Passport is New Zealand's entry level health and safety certification for construction workers. It is required on many construction sites before workers are permitted to start. The course includes an assessment of your knowledge of core health and safety principles.

The assessment covers four key areas:

Important: The Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 introduced significant changes to how duty of care is defined and shared. Many workers are unfamiliar with the concept of a PCBU (Person Conducting a Business or Undertaking) and what worker duties this creates. This is commonly tested.

Site Safe Foundation Passport: Common Questions

Four areas: Health and Safety Law (the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015), Hazard Management, PPE and Site Safety, and Emergency Procedures. TestReady's 100+ questions are spread across all four.
PCBU stands for Person Conducting a Business or Undertaking, the entity that holds the primary duty of care for worker health and safety under the 2015 Act. Many workers are unfamiliar with the term and what duties it creates, which is exactly why it's commonly tested.
The order you should use to manage workplace hazards: eliminate, substitute, isolate, engineering controls, administrative controls, and PPE as the last resort. It comes up regularly in hazard management questions, and TestReady explains the reasoning behind the order, not just the list.
Site Safe's own course materials include limited practice questions, but not a full practice test across all four assessment areas. TestReady's 100+ questions cover Law, Hazards, PPE and Emergency Procedures with full explanations for each answer.
